This Member needed a way to standardize ordering across their locations. The Foodbuy Team recommended the creation of shopping lists for each location based on the top 50 SKUs at each broadline distribution center.
Foodbuy worked directly with distribution centers to not only identify these items to ensure stocking consistency to help locations avoid outages.
They also requested nutritional information from MenuWorks – Compass Group's web-based menu management system. This step was especially important for a healthcare Member, as nutritional standards play a large role in menu development.
Once all the information was formatted into user-friendly shopping lists, Foodbuy reviewed with the Member's corporate leadership. Once the items were approved, the lists were distributed across all locations.
