The Challenge

As Member's partnership with Foodbuy Hospitality has grown and evolved over the years, they continually seek out ways to more thoroughly integrate Foodbuy support into their procurement process.

One focus for this group is aligning their various locations with Foodbuy programs to reveal optimal savings and maintain a consistent brand standard – a key factor in their business model.

In order to improve revenue over the past several years, this Member has collaborated closely with Foodbuy to implement several key procurement strategies.

The Solution

Strategy 1: Menuing

Consistent menuing across resort locations has greatly increased overall program compliance.

The Member implemented this through the support of Foodbuy's Culinary Solutions Team. The Foodbuy culinarians worked with the resort chefs to develop menus that would suit brand standards and business needs while using primarily Foodbuy contracted items.

Strategy 2: Order Guides

Order guide implementation vastly helped this Member increase contract utilization rate (CUR) which translates to savings. Not only does this Member source through the Foodbuy Master Distribution Agreement with their primary broadline distributor, but they also leverage locked order guides.

These guides restrict ordering to the pre-determined SKUs that will support menus and reduce costs.

Strategy 3: Reporting

In order to ensure continued compliance, this Member leverages custom reporting resources from Foodbuy.

Their Foodbuy Hospitality account manager provides routine reports on contract utilization rate and internal DPL specs. This data allows them to keep tabs on purchasing across their business and ensure optimal strategies are being implemented.
